For me it was the convenience to city centre and proximity to railway station together with reasonable rates that helped me choose Ibis for my overnight stay. All boxes ticked. Clean bed/en suite, walkable to town for some food and shopping. Was s little rowdy it being close to the port and it being a Friday night. Have to sleep with open windows but came armed with amazing earplugs so no probs! Bonus for me was the warmth and friendliness of the desk staff - nothing was too much trouble for them; smiling welcome, help to book taxi etc. Cant comment on breakfast, had to leave without. Got exactly what I paid for and expected with the added bonus of well yrsined desk staff!

I'd mentioned when we booked that it was our golden wedding - we were given a room with a great view, chocolates in the room and a voucher for drinks at the bar. We had everything we wanted within a 5 minute walk - Vue cinema, Grosvenor casino, Wetherspoons, great museum across the road. Bus station and station just a short walk away, plenty of bars/restaurants in the area and 3 shopping centres within a 10 minutes walk. The staff were very helpful, nothing was ever any trouble and the breakfasts are well worth the money. We booked the Ibis purely because we had stayed in one in Bilbao - so glad we did as we will stay there again if we're in Aberdeen

Helen was fantastic I really think she should be supervisor or manger as she showed tge mist caring and experienced customer service the guys I'm sorry were useless and had the emotions of a goldfish sorry but I'm very almost about how a customer in distress should be treated and if I owned a hotel Hrken would be running it she's firm but also very caring I loved her and she helped me with my dog when I git rushed to hospital as was poorly Helen you kero shining and don't ever change xx

The hotel is in the center of the city and close to the train/bus station. The room is efficient and comfortable. No frills, but I didn't pay enough for frills. The breakfast buffet had more than enough choices. The staffis friendly. The room was well maintained and spotless. This is not a luxury hotel, but it certainly offers value for money without having to compromise on cleanliness or comfort.

Judith

Centrally located, close to the main train station. The room was of good size and had a quayside view. The bed was comfortable with bedding that was warm but not heavy. I find many hotels use bedding that is too weighty (thick duvets), even in winter months. Bathroom facilities were also very good. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful.
